LINGUAL BRACES

If you don’t want braces which are more or less visible outside then you have the choice of Lingual Braces.

Lingual braces look just like traditional metal ones, but are placed behind your teeth out of the public eye to give you a more discreet smile-correcting experience. Lingual Braces are not ideal for all the patients.

ADVANTAGES :

The first and foremost advantage of lingual braces is that they are invisible to others.

These are best suited for adults as they would not have to face embarrassment during formal meetings.

Lingual braces are as effective as traditional metal braces .

DISADVANTAGES

Such braces aren’t suitable for patients with a narrow jaw as the method of fixation of lingual braces would not leave space for the tongue

Lingual braces, including the wires, are individually customized to fit the requirements of each and every patient. Because of the level of innovation involved with the designing of these braces and wires, a longer period of time is needed.

Cleaning can be slightly trickier than a traditionally placed braces.

Lingual Braces are more expensive in comparison to other traditional braces like metal or clear braces.

Pain & Discomfort along with difficulty in speech in the initial days of braces placement is a most common problem
